trax: I have a S8.3 Sub woofer connected to A Sony Receiver, and I notice that the setting the power switch to auto I never see the speaker power off even when Receiver is on Standby .
Is this normal , ie shouldn't the Sub power off after a few mins?
Have you tried disconnecting the sub rca cable from the receiver at either end? If the sub powers down while disconnected from the receiver, must be some current leakage from the receiver's sub preout, though I have no idea why.
