    Energy 10.3 sub

I recently purchased an energy 10.3 sub and the blue light is not illuminating even though the switch is in auto mode or on position . I have exchanged it twice and I am still having the same problem. The subwoofer still outputs normally.I have always been impressed with Energys products and love the appearance  as well. although the blue light is strickly cosmetics, I have to wonder about quality control issues.

The S.3-series subs were notorious for malfunctioning LEDs.  I've never heard of the sub not working as a consequence.  The majority of people don't really care and go on enjoying the sub.  I had an S8.3 with this problem and strangely, after I'd owned it for about 6 months, the LED magically started working again.  Ultimately, if you're getting sound, I wouldn't make an issue out of it.  The LED is a bit bright and distracting actually; I think I preferred it broken :p

We have this problem too. The speaker was replaced by Energy, but the LED went out in a few weeks. Then they sent me the official LED repair kit. That lasted all of about 10 minutes.Indifferent

Energy support has given us a song and dance about blue LED technology being new (it's not, been around for about 8 years now) and that power lights on woofers go out due to the vibration. That's also nonsense. Our previous KEF woofer's LED worked great for years. My son's Logitech subwoofer (2002) on his computer is blue and he really cranks the speakers. Still burning after all these years.

We really want the power light indication and want to get this fixed. Has anyone measured voltages to see if they are simply overvoltaging the LED. I don't really care if it is blue or not. But surely this is a simple fix by someone that has some electronics 101 knowledge. Anyone? Or can anyone tell me how/what to measure so that I can fix? This is so frustrating. Hmm
