    Klipsh?

I'm a newbie here.  When did Energy become a Klipsch company?  I don't see that on the company history.

Welcome to the Energy Forum. Klipsch purchased the API brands of Mirage, Energy, and Athena in late 2006 I think. I was one  of several employees brought in to our Customer Service department to help our new customers. We are located in Indianapolis, Indiana although the product research, design and engineering still takes place by original Energy staff in Toronto.

Just some guy who knows a heck of a lot about Energy Loudspeakers!

Has John Tchilinguirian remained through the transition?  Will he be designing the next generation of Energy speakers?  Rumour on the web is that he exitted.  If so, who will be replacing him?

    Re: Klipsh?

John Tchilinguirian left API shortly after the acquisitin by Klipsch to pursue different interests within the industry.  Since then, we have reorganized our product development process and no longer have product development/engineering team members categorized by brand.

It is important to note that while John was the Energy lead, he was always working with a team who assisted in the development of all Energy products.  These same people make up the current team and have fresh ideas and increased resources.  We all hope that you will find these new products as exciting and evolutionary as we do.
